Welcome to MyNotepad. Your privacy is our priority. This document explains how we collect, store, and protect your data to give you the best note-taking experience.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimum data needed to provide our services:

Personal Identity: Your Email Address and Display Name (via Google Sign-In or Email Login) to identify your account.
Log Data: Anonymous crash reports and device performance data (via Firebase) to fix bugs and improve app speed.

2. How We Store Your Data

Cloud Sync (Real-time): Your text-based Notes and Tasks are stored on our secure Google Firebase servers so you can access them from any device.

Multimedia Backups: Photos, Videos, and PDF files are stored on Your Personal Google Drive. We do not own or have independent access to these files.

3. Security

We use industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption to protect your data during transfer. Your cloud data is strictly protected by Firebase Security Rules, ensuring only YOU can see your notes.

4. Your Control (Data Deletion)

You have full control over your data. You can delete your cloud account and all associated notes anytime through the Settings > Cloud Account > Delete Account section in the app. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

5. App Permissions

To function correctly, we ask for:

Internet & Network State: For cloud sync and Drive backups.
Microphone: Only for the Voice Typing feature. We do not record unless you tap the mic.
Notifications: To keep you informed about sync status and task reminders.
Storage (Legacy): To attach and save multimedia in your notes (using modern Scoped Storage where possible).
